The NICC Foundation manages collections on Dutch international cooperation aimed at sustainable development, enriched with personal experiences of stakeholders and interested parties. NICC stands for Netherlands International Cooperation Collection.
The period from the post-World War II era to the present is characterized by a unique process in international cooperation, with increasing attention to global sustainability. Many consider the Netherlands to have played a pioneering role in several areas, albeit from a varying perspective.
Based on a collection of over thirteen thousand items, enriched with the personal experiences of those involved, the NICC Foundation aims to make this process accessible and understandable to everyone and to contribute to reflection with a focus on intergenerational knowledge exchange. The Sustainable Development Goals are considered an important reference framework in this regard. The NICC Foundation advocates for a future in which the past becomes more valuable.
